Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 March 2026

We care about your privacy and aim to keep this policy clear and practical. This page explains what information we collect when you use the MUVIST Ltd website, why we collect it, how we use it and the choices you have.

By using this website, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who we are

MUVIST Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 15443445). When we say “we”, “us” or “our” in this notice, we mean MUVIST Ltd.

MUVIST Ltd provides movement marketing education, training, resources and related consultancy/services, including MUVIST Academy.

What information we collect and why

We collect and use the following types of information:

Contact details – name, email address, phone number, organisation and role if you give them to us (for example, when you fill in a form, register interest in a course, book a call or sign up for emails). We use this to respond to enquiries, provide updates you’ve asked for, manage registrations and send marketing you’ve consented to or that we believe is relevant to your role.

Academy and course data – if you register interest in MUVIST Academy, enrol on a course, download course resources, attend a webinar or request Academy updates, we may collect your name, email address, organisation, role, course interests, registration history and records of communications with you. We use this to manage registrations, deliver course and launch updates, provide resources you have requested, improve our Academy content and keep appropriate records of learner and prospect interactions.

Learning and engagement data – where relevant, we may collect information about course access, lesson completion, downloads, webinar attendance, email engagement and related interactions with MUVIST Academy content. We use this to deliver the service, improve the learner experience, understand which topics are most useful and send relevant follow-up communications where permitted.

Technical information – IP address, device identifiers, browser type, approximate location and pages visited. This is mainly collected via cookies and analytics tools. We use this to understand how people use the site, fix problems and improve content.

We only collect information that is relevant and necessary for these purposes and keep it for as long as it is needed for those purposes or for our legal and reporting obligations.

Legal basis for using your information (UK GDPR)

Depending on the situation, we rely on:

Your consent – for example, when you sign up to receive emails or optional updates.

Legitimate interests – for example, to run and improve our website, respond to enquiries from people working in charities and non-profits, promote our training and services to relevant roles, and keep records of interactions.

Legal obligations – where we need to keep basic information for tax, accounting or regulatory reasons.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe links in our emails or contacting us at become@muvist.com.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. These help us:

  • Remember your preferences.
  • Understand how the site is being used (for example, which pages are visited and for how long).

We currently use Google Analytics to help us understand visitor behaviour in an anonymised or pseudonymised way. Google Analytics may process IP addresses and technical data; in GA4, IP addresses are anonymised by default.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal data.

We only share your information with:

Service providers who help us operate our website, email and analytics (for example, website hosting, email delivery, CRM and analytics tools). These providers may include website hosts, CRM and email marketing platforms, analytics providers, course or learning platforms, webinar/event tools and payment processors. These providers may process personal data on our behalf and must keep it secure and only use it for our instructions.

Professional advisers (for example, accountants or legal advisers), where needed.

Authorities where we are legally required to do so (for example, to comply with a court order or law).

Where possible we name or clearly describe these types of providers in our Cookie Policy and other notices.

Where your data is processed

Our core data processing takes place in the United Kingdom. Some of our service providers may store or process data in other countries. Where this happens, we aim to put in place appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your information in line with UK data protection law.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, including:

  • Limiting the data we collect to what we need.
  • Using secure connections (SSL) on our website.
  • Restricting access to personal data to people who need it for their role.
  • Using reputable service providers with suitable security standards.
  • Training our team on privacy and data protection where appropriate.

No system is 100% secure, but we work to reduce risks as far as is reasonable.

Direct marketing

If you register interest in our courses, resources, services or MUVIST Academy updates, we may send you emails about MUVIST Academy, movement marketing education, events, resources and related services where you have consented or where we are otherwise permitted to do so by law.

You can stop receiving marketing at any time by:

  • Clicking “unsubscribe” in any email, or
  • Emailing us at become@muvist.com asking to be removed.

Automated decision-making

We do not use fully automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

We may use basic automation to:

  • Group contacts by role, organisation type or interests (for example, fundraising, communications, finance).
  • Tailor which emails or resources you are most likely to find useful.

You can ask us not to use your data in this way by contacting us (see “Your rights” below).

How long we keep your information

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or to meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations.

In general:

Enquiry and registration data is kept while we are in active contact and for a reasonable period afterwards.

Academy registration and learner data is kept for as long as needed to manage your registration, provide the relevant course or updates, maintain business records and deal with legal, tax or reporting obligations. If you only register interest and do not enrol, we will keep your details only for as long as reasonably necessary for launch communications and follow-up, unless you unsubscribe sooner.

Email marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or we clean our lists.

Analytics data is kept according to our analytics tool’s retention settings (typically between 14 and 26 months).

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances.
  • Ask us to restrict how we use your information.
  • Object to certain types of processing, including direct marketing.

  • Ask for your data in a portable format, where applicable.
  • Complain to a data protection authority if you are unhappy with how we handle your data. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): www.ico.org.uk.

We will always try to resolve any concerns directly if you contact us first.
